Further applications are currently being prepared. The four applications submitted by CPK cover sections of theplanned high-speed rail linerunning through Warsaw and the Mazovian municipalities of Ożarów Mazowiecki, Pruszków, Brwinów, and Wiskitki, totalling over 20 km.For the WarsawŁódź route, which is in advanced design, CPK has already secured all necessary environmental approvals and two of the required water permits. According to the Government Plenipotentiary for CPK, the location decisions mark a crucial step toward construction. Once granted, CPK plans to submit building permit applications later this year, followed by construction tenders. A total of twelve location decision applications are planned for the WarsawŁódź section. In the fourth quarter of this year, we plan to submit the remaining eight applications, including those to the Łódź Voivode for the section between CPK Airport and Łódź. The WarsawŁódź HSR line is a priority for us, as it will connect the CPK Airport to the high-speed rail network, Filip Czernicki, CEO of CPK, said.Preparation of the application materials for the Mazovian region is being carried out by a consortium of Metroprojekt and Sud Architekt Polska. For the Łódź region, it is being handled by a consortium of Egis Poland, Egis rail and Jaf-Geotechnika.CPK received EU co-financing under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for the preparation of full design documentation (including the construction design) and the documents required to obtain location decisions and water permits for the WarsawŁódź line. The 140 km long Warsaw Łódź high-speed line is a key part of theplanned Y shaped rail line, which by 2035 is set to connect the capital with the CPK Airport, Łódź, Wrocław, and Poznań. Thanks to the construction of the WarsawŁódź HSR, travel time between these cities will be reduced to approximately 40 minutes, from currently 70 minutes. Passengers will be able to reach the CPK Airport from Warsaw in under 20 minutes. Once the entire Y line is completed, rail travel from Poznań to Warsaw will take under 1 hour and 40 minutes, instead of about 2 hours and 20 minutes, and the same from Wrocław cutting travel time by more than half.Share on:RECOMMENDED EVENT:
